Your data, in complete transparency
Privacy & GDPR
Domaine du Thie limits data collection to what is strictly necessary to respond to your requests and organize your stay.
Data Controller
SAS Le Thie, a simplified joint-stock company with a capital of €5,000, registered with the Angoulême Trade and Companies Register under number 989 819 511 — Le Thie, 16410 Dirac, France.
For any questions about your data: contact@domaineduthie.fr.
Online booking requests
When you submit a booking request, the website records the stay dates, selected accommodation, number of adults and children, your name, email address, telephone number, estimated price, any preference for one person per bed and a request reference. Your reply language, submission date and message sending statuses help us follow up your request. This form does not ask for bank details or identity documents.
This processing is based on pre-contractual measures taken at your request. Fields marked as mandatory are necessary for processing the request; without them, the Domain cannot respond. No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out.
Contact form and emails
The contact form does not store any data on the website; it prepares an email in your own email application. If you choose to send it, the domain receives your name, email address, the subject, and the content of your message in order to respond to your request.
The processing is based on pre-contractual measures when it concerns a stay or a reception, and on the legitimate interest of the Domaine in responding to other requests.
The Domaine’s email service is hosted by IONOS. Emails about your request contain only information needed for the stay and our response. This is not a marketing subscription. The website does not add open-tracking pixels or click tracking to these messages.
Optional AI assistant
The assistant is an artificial intelligence service, not a member of our team. It answers general questions about the Domaine using published site information. It does not access customer records or the booking calendar and cannot confirm a booking. Its answers may be inaccurate: please check important information with the Domaine.
When you send or select a question, its text and up to two previous questions are transmitted by our server to Cloudflare Workers AI to prepare a response. We do not forward your IP address to the inference API. Do not include your name, contact details, payment information or sensitive information, including health data. You can use our contact form instead.
This processing serves our legitimate interest in answering your general enquiries, or pre-contractual steps at your request when it concerns a stay. The Domaine does not save conversation text in its database or application logs. The displayed conversation stays in the page’s memory and can be cleared with the “Clear this conversation” button. A daily pseudonymous identifier derived from your IP address is used only to limit abuse. Usage counters expire within 48 hours and expired entries are deleted when the service next receives a question.
Cloudflare is the technical provider for AI inference; its infrastructure may process data outside the European Economic Area under its contractual safeguards. Cloudflare states that Workers AI content is not used to train models or improve its services without explicit permission. This site does not enable a separate conversation storage service or such permission. Technical and security processing by hosting providers is described below.
Technical browsing data
As with any online service, the hosting provider and delivery network may process your IP address, request date and time, requested page address, browser type and security events. This data is used only to deliver pages, maintain the service, prevent abuse and diagnose errors; SAS Le Thie does not use it for audience measurement or advertising profiles.
French and English pages are provided directly by the website. For other languages, the website retrieves translations from the Domaine's guestbook translation service. Your language choice is stored on your device.
Recipients and technical providers
Data is accessible only to SAS Le Thie staff responsible for bookings, welcoming guests and, where necessary, administration. Technical providers operating the website and database may access it only as necessary to perform their tasks.
The website uses services from OpenAI Ireland Limited and its technical subcontractors, including Cloudflare. Depending on the infrastructure used, processing may take place outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR and providers' contracts. SAS Le Thie neither sells data nor uses it for advertising.
Data retention period
An uncompleted booking request must be deleted no later than three years after your last contact, or sooner if no longer needed. For confirmed bookings, necessary information is retained throughout the contractual relationship and then for the statutory periods applicable to commercial and accounting records. Data no longer needed must be deleted or archived with restricted access.
Google Maps and external services
The Google Maps map is not loaded automatically. It only appears after you click the designated button. Google may then process technical information, including your IP address, according to its own privacy policy. Links to Google Maps and Google reviews only transmit data to Google when you choose to open them.
Cookies, local storage and audience measurement
The website does not intentionally set advertising cookies and does not use audience measurement tools. It stores only your language choice and relevant translations in your browser. If you start the family game, your progress and optional team name also remain on your device. This information is not used for profiling or advertising.
The Google map remains blocked until you choose to load it, so this feature does not automatically request Google content. Details of stored data and how to delete it are provided in the cookies and tracking policy.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, portability where applicable or restriction of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, by writing to contact@domaineduthie.fr. A response may require reasonable verification of your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL at cnil.fr.
